- A man pleaded guilty to the abuse by posting horrific comments on Instagram to former breakfast presenter Louise Minchin and her older daughter.
Carl Davis, 44, was due to stand trial in Carnarphon but changed his defense to two charges. Davis of Flint, Flintshire admits she caused anxiety or suffering to Louise and Mia Minchin in July 2020. He was ordered not to post women on social media and will be sentenced on December 15.
It is also instructed not to encourage third parties to refer to women on social media and not to contact women directly. Or indirectly or to approach the own or operated premises or other film sets.
Davis was also told not to enter the Cheshire village where Ms. Minchin stays. Davis of Queens Avenue had previously been sentenced to probation for molesting Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts. Judge Nicola Kaufman said: “This is a repeated violation, and the content of the message sent is very worrying. Severe, very frightening, and must maximize the suffering of the complainant in this case.”
The court investigated crimes committed between July 14 and 17 last year while serving a suspended sentence.
The court heard that Davis had served in the Iraqi armed forces and lived with untreated post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for years. Lawyer Duncan Bald said Davis, who was present with his father at the trial. Continued to work in Iraq as a close officer after leaving the police force and receiving very little care.
Bold said, “He appeared to be self-medicating and mainly using alcohol as medicine.
“It appears that this crime was committed in this context.” Mr. Bould said Davis initially pleaded not guilty to maltreatment from the two crimes, which caused fear or serious concern. He could not see the behavior and now believes it should have been done when he was heavily intoxicated.
Davis was released on bail pending a pre-sentence psychiatric report. Judge Nicola Kaufman told the court that the most likely sentence was immediate imprisonment.
