Charles Oliveira shows superiority in winning UFC 274

Brazil’s Charles Oliveira prepares to take on Justin Getty.

Even though Charles Oliveira lost 0.5 pounds, that didn’t stop him from proving that he is one of the UFC’s most dangerous fighters in Saturday’s main event against Justin Getz, Oliveira survived a fierce strike from Gaethje that resulted in two quick knockdowns against the former champions and recovered minutes later for a thrilling final

Oliveira collided with Gaethje, one of the most explosive fighters in the light division, and dealt a heavy blow that resulted in him falling rapidly into the octagon. Soon after, Oliveira switched to his famous passing skills. He ends up with Gaethje, who is strangled by Oliveira, resulting in a first-round annihilation.

According to UFC president Dana White, Oliveira doesn’t have a championship belt around her waist because she skipped the weight limit. This was a controversial moment in preparation for UFC 274 in Phoenix, Arizona. After Oliveira has once again proven that she is one of the most dominant fighters in her division, another title fight is expected soon to reclaim the crown officially.

The question is, who makes sense as Oliveira’s next challenger for the UFC Lightweight Championship?

“I was expecting. That’s what you were expecting. We expected that,” White said after Oliveira’s UFC 274 loss to best man Getty. He is.”

“It’s a nightmare,” said White, noting that Oliveira was not a champion because of her weight problems. “We were talking about it in the background; we had this problem when the players came out the night before and started checking the scales. All Europeans and boys from other parts of the world are gaining weight, so everyone (swears) starts with the scales to see. Who knows, there are so much moving parts to this beast of a machine that we run every week. We need to be sure where the scales stand now. You know, that’s something we have to do.”
