Musk denies “wild accusations” levelled against him, an apparent reference

Elon Musk, founder and CEO of SpaceX, tweet late Thursday that the “wild allegations” against him are untrue.

He did not explain the accusations. However, his response came after a Business Insider report said the aerospace company. Paid $250,000 in compensation to a flight attendant who accused the billionaire of sexual assault.

The report, citing interviews and documents obtained by Insider, said the woman alleged that during the massage she gave Musk. He revealed his erect penis, touched his thighs without his consent. And offered to buy a horse if he had a sexual act. News has not been able to verify these claims independently.

Without directly referring to the report, Musk tweet that “these wild allegations are false for the record.”

“The attack on me has to be see from a political perspective also it’s your standard (hated) textbook,” he tweeted.

Insiders report that the alleged incident in Musk’s room aboard a SpaceX plane on a flight to London in late 2016 occurred. After the world’s richest man asked him for a “full body massage.”

CNBC asked Musk and SpaceX for comment on the allegations but did not immediately respond.

“If I’m incline to engage in sexual harassment. This isn’t the first time in my 30-year career this has come to light,” Musk told Insider. He also said his article was a “politically motivated hit,” the paper said.

Insiders said it pushed back the release deadline after Musk asked for more time to respond, but he never commented further on the allegations.

Christopher Karachi, SpaceX’s vice president of legal affairs, was quote by Insider as saying, “I will not comment on any settlement agreements.”

The insider reports come as Musk, who is also CEO of Tesla, has committed to trying to buy social media giant Twitter.

The allegations, announce on Thursday, were detail in a statement signe by a flight attendant friend.

The statement was made to support a complaint the woman’s attorney file with SpaceX’s human resources department in 2018.
