Axl Rose says the Guns N’ Roses show scheduled for Friday in Munich will go as planned.

Guns N’ Roses rocker Axl Rose is recovering after an unknown medical problem forced him to cancel shows in Scotland.

Rose, 60, shared a statement on Twitter on Thursday. Thanking fans for their messages of support and apologizing for canceling Tuesday night’s show in Glasgow.

He said he was okay because he followed his doctor’s advice and continued Friday’s show in Munich, Germany, as planned.

“I had instructions from Dr. to follow, rest, work [with] a vocal coach and fix [our] vocal problems,” he wrote. “Things are looking good so far.” He continued, “Thank you again for everyone’s concern! It’s about giving [us] the best of [us] to the fans and the best time we can give you guys, and that’s just me, the band, and the team in focus. See you soon in Munich!”

Guns N’ Roses announced Monday night that the Glasgow show would be canceled “due to illness and medical advice.”

“Unfortunately, due to illness also medical advice, GN’R will not be able to perform in Glasgow tomorrow, 5 July 2022,” the statement read. “We are working on rebooking options for this show. So please save your tickets and wait for more updates.” Thank you for your understanding and patience.”

While the main reason for the show’s cancellation remains unclear. Rose told audiences in London on Sunday night that she recently saw a doctor and will be changing parts of the setlist. “So I went to the doctor and all that stuff. I slept here last night to be sure,” he said in the video shared on Twitter. “So I’m going to change the song a bit vocally. I hope you don’t mind. We’d love to continue.’

The setback comes days after Carrie Underwood joined the band for two surprise shows in London on Friday and Saturday nights.

The country star sang “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and rejoined the band to close the show with “Paradise City.”
