Bree Runway, Lola Young, and Holly Humberstone were nominated for the Brits Award for New Star, recognizing those who have to watch. The award, formerly known as The Choice of Critics, was previously given to Adele, Sam Fender, and George Smith.
Runway and Humberstone were added to Sound Of’s long list of the year, with Humberstone taking second place. Young is the voice man this year’s John Lewis Christmas commercial. Winners will be announced on December 10.
The award, backed by Radio 1, recognizes a British artist who has not made an album in the top 20 or more than one single in the top 20 as of October 31 this year.

After finishing runner-up on this year’s Sound Of, he continued to be nominated for future star Ivor Novello and received critical acclaim in its second edition; The Walls Are Way Too Thin.
