For Chanel Ayan, the whole look starts with the dress. Since this was my first reunion and everyone knew me for my great style, I needed a lovely dress. I’m lucky because, as a model, I get paid to wear dresses, and I have access to the most significant design house in the world. I know everyone. So it wasn’t hard to find options to wear, and this ended up being my favorite of all.
Michael Sinko designed it; he is a very famous designer. I modeled for him for about 18 years. She dresses up stars like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and J.Lo, one of her favorite clients. I’ve seen someone wear the same dress to an awards show, and I love how it looks [Editor’s note: Singer-songwriter Gloria Trevi wore it to the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards].
Nearly 20 designers approached me to dress me up for the meeting. Valentino wanted to dress me, and so many designers wanted to dress me because they knew it was a big moment for me. But I chose this dress because it looks good and I feel comfortable wearing it. She is like a beauty queen. I want to look pretty and pretty.
They are so big and beautiful, just like my personality. And I know they’ll make anyone throw up.
The dress is also happy, like me. This morning I came thrilled, smiling and light. It was 6 am, and I only slept about three hours because I and [Real Housewives of Dubai star Lesa Milan] had partied the night before. So I left in good spirits. And all day, I felt like Jesus had taken over my body more than the devil. The other girls might have a visit from the devil, but I’m still happy.
