“I want Chris Stapleton to tell a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has waited for this show for so long,” the country music star wrote on Instagram Tuesday.
Chris Stapleton postponed his show after testing positive for COVID-19.
The Grammy-winning singer announced Tuesday that he contracted the virus ahead of his weekend performance as part of his All-American Road Show Tour.
“To all of my friends in Salt Lake City and Denver, I am very sorry to report that I have tested positive for Covid and will not be able to present a show this weekend,” he wrote in a statement on Instagram.
Because of this, the show will be rescheduled to July 1-3.
“We hope you can join us then,” Stapleton said. “Please contact the point of sale if this is not possible.”
“I want to tell a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has waited for this show for so long,” the country music singer added. “We are so grateful for your patience, love, and support and can’t wait to see you next week.”
In February, the Tennessee whiskey singer announced that she had added several new dates to her 2022 tour, including stops in New Orleans, Detroit, and Chicago, among others. Unfortunately, this is not the first time Stapleton has had to step down due to health problems. Last October, singer Joy of My Life announce that three shows – two in Nashville and one in Cincinnati would be reschedule “by medical order” after being placed on vocal hiatus.
“I am sorry that many of you have been humiliated, and I am truly grateful for your patience and understanding,” he said. “Nothing is more personal to me than experiencing music.” “I’m always grateful for sharing this journey with you throughout the night,” he said.
