A new roller coaster is about to rock Dollywood!

Dolly Parton and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee amusement parks unveiled plans for the new Big Bear Mountain roller coaster on Friday. In a tweet, the destination revealed that the ride had more extensive specs than the original in the first ride’s animated video.

“In the spring of 2023, join Ned Oakley on our greatest family adventure. Big Bear Mountain,” the park’s official report reads. “This multi-launch theme park has a 3,990-foot track and adds a two-acre ride to Wildwood Grove. Get ready to go BIG by watching our first exclusive look at driving animation.”

The 76-year-old country icon also commented on the trip via social media. “Smokies is about adventure and discovery. So I’m glad our guests can make their trip to the Smokies to see if they can find this Big Dipper,” he told his followers.

Parton continued, “Whether he was there or not, I’m sure he will find many memories along the way that he will cherish forever. According to a Knoxville News Sentinel report, the coaster will have “three separate launches. Several hills for airtime, high-speed turns and a carousel tunnel, including a passage behind the falls.

The outlet also reports that the new attraction marks the most significant investment ever made in Dollywood travel, which has already raised $25 million.

“If you want to be the #1 family attraction in the United States. Your product must be family-friendly,” Dollywood President Eugene Naughton told the outlet. “Well, with this ride called Big Bear Mountain, I like to call it a pleasant comfort. The theme park also answered some open questions from fans on Twitter. Revealing that the rides were designed by lifts designer Vekoma and have embedded audio a first for any Dollywood -Attraction by Ned Oakley, Benjamin Bear’s fictional caretaker.

It is also equipped to have a top speed of 48 mph and a minimum altitude of 39 inches for mounting on Big Bear Mountain.
