Drake confirms new album in the works during livestream with Adin Ross

Drake surprised fans during a livestream with Adin Ross on Sunday (April 13) by announcing he’s already working on his next album. The reveal came during a promotional appearance for a giveaway in partnership with digital gambling platform Stake, streamed on Kick.

Wearing $$4U merch, the rapper thanked fans for supporting his collaborative album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $exy $ongs 4 U, which dropped back in February.

“Thank you to everybody that’s streaming the album,” said Drake. “Every time, every journey. Working on a new album—it’s a slap.”

Quick Turnaround Surprises Fans

Adin Ross was caught off guard by the news, considering Drake’s last solo release, For All The Dogs, came out in 2023. Despite the short gap, Drake appears energized and eager to keep the momentum going.

The Toronto star also reflected on his body of work, naming Nothing Was The Same and Honestly, Nevermind as the two projects he’s most proud of.

$exy $ongs 4 U Continues to Climb

Released in February, $$4U debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Its standout track, “Nokia,” has been making waves, currently sitting at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, just behind Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther”, which remains in the top spot for a seventh consecutive week.

Drake Set to Headline Wireless Festival in July

In addition to teasing new music, Drake gave a shoutout to fans attending London’s Wireless Festival this July, where he’ll serve as a headliner.

“Shout out to everybody that’s been showing us love, though, for real. On every song. Shout out to everybody that’s coming to Wireless. We love you so much,” he said during the stream.
