Emma Stone was booed at Citi Field for wearing the Padres kit

Emma Stone and Dave McCurry enjoyed a night at a ball game, although their Padres jackets drew some reactions (friendliness)

Emma Stone and her husband, Dave McCurry, are huge Padres fans who don’t care. Who knows!

Competing in the first game of NL East’s Mets-Padres wild card game at Citi Field in Queens on Friday, the 33-year-old Oscar winner looked matching on the jumbotron in a brown Padres jacket with director Brigsby Bear, a Padre 37 coat and hat.

The Mets fans in the stands immediately started booing Stone and McCurry, but they didn’t mind. He threw his hat into the crowd to show his support for the Padres as he shrugged and then took a sip of his drink. The pair had the last laugh as the Padres beat the Mets 7-1.

ESPN shared on his account that a fan in the stands captured the moment.

The Padres then called the couple and shared some of their photos on Twitter.

“A big fan of this fan. Hey Dave and Emma!” they wrote next to two photos of the two, with Padre looking proud in his logo jacket. Padres CEO Eric Groipner also took to Twitter and wrote, “Style, elegance and good taste… Emma always welcome @PetcoPark.”

The couple seems to be big baseball fans and enjoy going to the game every once in a while.

The pair were spotted last year in San Diego, where Stone and McCurry posed with speakers Mark Grant and Don Orsillo, who later tweeted photos of the fun meeting.

“La La Land… Naaahhhh… More like Padre Land! Thanks to Emma Stone and her husband David McCurry for visiting the booth. Really fun! Go Padres!” Grant wrote next to a photo of himself and the couple.
