Alessandra Ambrosio could feel the energy of the iconic red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival before her style hit the floor.
“The Fashion retrospective carpet experience starts before you arrive at the Palais,” the Cannes veteran told The Hollywood Reporter. “Driving the Croisette can be a little hectic, but you get that adrenaline rush and feel like you’re sleeping as soon as you step onto the carpet.”
Fantasy has been a reality for Brazilian supermodels for more than a decade. Ahead of his return this year, Ambrosio shared details about some of his mind-blowing visions. What it was like to meet a photographer in love, and his favorite spot by the pool. For me, the Cannes Film Festival is all about glamour. My main inspiration when thinking about what to wear for a festival is my favorite fashion icons. Sofia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor. Still, I always add my twist to the look. This is one of the few places where you can go big or classic and experiment with unique colors, details, and designs.
You’ve attended significant events worldwide; how does it compare to Cannes?
This is the best film festival. I love how charming the French Riviera is. Combining this charm with fantastic films and people from all over the world creates an unforgettable experience.
