Once inseparable from hypersexualized pictures of youthful, hot models, Pirelli has changed its scandalous schedule over late years into a yearly, ritzy design occasion – offering its pages to uncontrollably inventive universes helmed by any semblance of Paolo Roversi, Tim Walker, Peter Lindbergh, and Annie Liebowitz.
Presently, Pirelli is back, with an all-singing, all-moving (in a real sense) schedule for 2022. Ravaging the music world for a portion of its most specific abilities, 2022 sees Bryan Adams venture behind the camera while snapping Cher, Grimes, Jennifer Hudson, Normani, Rita Ora, Bohan Phoenix, Iggy Pop, St. Vincent, Kali Uchis, and Saweetie.
Named On the Road, Adams shot his diverse team of artists among LA and Capri, in southern Italy, “because the existence of a performer is comprised of streets, travel, holding up in inns, and hours behind the stage,” as he says. “Out and about is the place where I have been for the last 45 years.”.
As found in a progression of BTS pictures shot by Alessandro Scotti, the current year’s schedule envisions a typical day for a visiting artist, catching Normani’s pre-show custom, Cher waiting in a green room, and Iggy Pop trimmed in sparkle post-show. It’s a celebratory re-visitation of structure, of sorts, given that last year, considering the Covid, Pirelli chose to stop the creation on its 2021 schedule – instead deciding to give 100,000 euros to the immunization exertion.
Past schedules have seen Tim Walker change the nonentities of dark greatness into excellent Alice in Wonderland characters and a series shot by Paolo Roversi, obliged to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
