Informa TechTarget Emerges as B2B Data Giant

Informa TechTarget officially launched after the successful combination of TechTarget with Informa Tech’s digital businesses, creating a leading B2B growth accelerator for the technology sector. The combined company began trading on Nasdaq under the symbol TTGT, positioning itself at the intersection of technology marketing and B2B services.

Strategic Scale in First-Party Data

The combination strengthens first-party data capabilities by merging Informa’s IIRIS proprietary data platform with TechTarget’s B2B audience data, creating access to approximately 50 million professionals. This unprecedented data scale enables marketers to reach technology buyers more effectively across multiple verticals and geographies. New TechTarget operates in over 20 countries with more than 8,600 customers, significantly expanding reach compared to TechTarget’s standalone operations.

Comprehensive Go-To-Market Solutions

The new company combines TechTarget’s brands like Priority Engine and BrightTALK with Informa Tech’s digital businesses including Industry Dive, Omdia, Canalys, and specialist media brands. The combined portfolio offers B2B marketers end-to-end solutions from strategy and content development to demand generation and sales enablement. Informa TechTarget employs more than 2,000 people and serves 7,500 customers worldwide.

Financial Strength and Market Position

The 2024 combined revenues are estimated at approximately $500 million with adjusted EBITDA of $120 million. Gary Nugent, former CEO of Informa Tech, serves as the new CEO. Informa PLC contributed $350 million in cash and Informa Tech’s digital businesses for a 57% equity stake, while existing TechTarget shareholders retained a 43% stake.
