Meta has officially launched Instagram Plus, an optional paid subscription for Instagram users priced at $3.99 per month in the United States. The package includes 11 new features designed to give users more control over their experience, though the core Instagram app remains free for everyone.
What does Instagram Plus include?
The subscription bundles a mix of Stories-focused tools and profile customisation options. Key features include Story Spotlight, which places a subscriber’s Story first in followers’ trays once a week; Story Preview, which allows users to view others’ Stories anonymously; and Story Extend, which adds an extra 24 hours to a Story’s lifespan. Subscribers can also create unlimited audience lists beyond Close Friends, pin up to six posts on their profile grid, post directly to their profile without notifying followers, and use custom app icons and bio fonts. Rounding out the package are Super Hearts animations, Story rewatch analytics, and a viewer list search function.
