“Happy Soon Day is a beautiful day for all my hairless brothers and sisters, ️” the 50-year-old Red Table Talk host wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday to celebrate the occasion, capturing hers in a stunning headshot.
Pinkett Smith wore a satin top, simple earrings, and statement burgundy lips in the selfie. On Tuesday, she also shared a Red Table Talk post on her Instagram Story praising fellow bald women.
The actress first opened up about her hair loss during an episode of Red Table Talk in 2018; Last December, Pinkett Smith talked about living with alopecia in a candid video that showed a bare part of her scalp embracing her. “I can only laugh at this moment,” said Pinkett Smith as he ran his finger over the bald dot in the centre of his scalp. Look at this.”
Laughing, Pinkett Smith continued, “So it just pops out, and it’s going to be a little harder for me to hide.
So I thought I’d share it, so you don’t have to ask anything. I’m going to make a little crown. Mom will do that.
She captioned her Instagram video: “Mum has to put it on her scalp. So no one thinks she’s had brain surgery or something. I and this alopecia are going to be friends… period! Old Smith laughed from his seat at first, while Pinkett Smith looked unimpressed.
In an apology video released in July, Smith said in part. I contacted Chris, and the message that came back was that he wasn’t ready to talk and when he was ready, he would call. So I’ll tell you, Chris, I’m sorry. My behaviour is unacceptable, and I will be here if you are ready to speak.”
Smith withdrew from the academy and was barred from attending his ceremony for the next ten years.
