Schmidt and Turkovich met in 2012 and started dating in 2015… She’s not his girlfriend anymore he’s her fiancé!
Big Time Rush member Kendall Schmidt asked longtime friend Mica von Turkovich a Wednesday night news can reveal exclusively.
The singer proposed where she and writer Turkovic first met: Radio City Music Hall. And as fans may be wondering – yes, band members Logan Henderson, Carlos PenaVega, and James Maslow were also in attendance!
“My heart and soul. I will love you forever,” Schmidt, 31, wrote in an Instagram post about the proposal.
Schmidt and Turkovic, 30, met at one of the Big Time Rush concerts in 2012. Turkovic was then a nanny in New York. Over the years, their friendship grew more robust, and they eventually fell in love.
Ten years later, Schmidt decided to ask where it all started.
The couple began dating in March 2015, although Schmidt’s first Instagram tribute to Turkovich was on his birthday in July 2016 and the next in July 2017.
In June 2018, Schmidt shared a cute photo of him sitting on his lap at the BottleRock festival in California. Later that month, he shared another photo with her and called her a “favorite.”
That same July, she posted a much more intimate birthday tribute, writing, “It is this beautiful soul’s birthday.” He then continued, “Any description of how @mica_chu changed my life would be an understatement. It was great to spend days with him. I envy his views on things. His real goal is to make a meaningful difference in the world, and I know he will. That thing. He gave me a reason to be the best man I could be. And in return, I will do everything in my power to be all he deserves.”
Since then, Schmidt has shared unforgettable moments like camping, quarantine during the pandemic, Valentine’s Day tribute, and more with Turkovic by his side.
