LinkedIn has rolled out Hiring Assistant 2, the latest upgrade to its AI-powered recruitment tool, now available in the app. The update improves the bot’s reasoning, memory and personalization, helping recruiters receive more relevant candidate recommendations.
Memory That Learns Your Hiring Habits
The biggest change is memory. Previously, a recruiter asking for a product management candidate would simply get one. Now, the assistant draws on past hiring patterns to suggest candidates who are located near the office, have retail industry experience and hold mid-level seniority, since those match earlier hires.
The tool also displays more signals explaining why a candidate is a match. It adds indicators of how receptive a person may be, based on platform engagement, Open to Work details and InMail responsiveness.
Trust Signals and New Integrations
LinkedIn is adding more trust signals, such as verifications, to help recruiters identify legitimate prospects. It is also expanding connected app listings, letting candidates demonstrate their skills in external systems.
Further additions include more integrations for candidate management and voice capabilities for pre-screening conversations.
Early Results Look Promising
LinkedIn says more than 20,000 companies now use its agentic hiring solutions. According to the company, recruiters are four times more likely to contact candidates sourced by Hiring Assistant than those found through traditional methods. That figure is rising, with recruiters now 27% more likely to reach out to a sourced candidate than six months ago.
Backed by insights from more than 1.3 billion members, LinkedIn’s candidate prediction models aim to surface increasingly relevant talent. These upgrades should further strengthen the assistant’s usefulness as AI becomes a bigger part of recruitment.
