Kyrie Irving continues to feel the effects of promoting anti-Semitic films on Twitter.
On Friday, Nike announced it was distancing itself from the 30-year-old NBA star. The move came shortly after the Brooklyn Nets announced Thursday. That they had suspended Irving “at least five games without pay.”

Following his suspension from the Nets, he released a statement on social media on Friday apologizing to the Jewish community.

“I would like to clarify where I stand on the issue of antisemitism [sic] by apologizing for posting a documentary without context and factual statements outlining specific beliefs in the documentary that I participated in and that I did not agree to.” It is not my intention to ignore the history of Jewish culture associated with the Holocaust or to perpetuate hatred.”
