Pinterest Unveils AI Restyle Tool and Visual Search Ads

Pinterest has rolled out a wave of product updates at its annual Pinterest Presents event, spanning advertising tools, artificial intelligence features, and content programming aimed at boosting engagement on the platform.

New Visual Search Ads Target High-Intent Shoppers

The company introduced visual search ads, a new placement that allows advertisers to insert promotions directly into Pinterest’s visual search results and Pin close-ups. The move capitalizes on Pinterest’s scale in image-based discovery, with the platform reporting more than 80 billion searches per month, most of them visual. The feature is set to roll out in beta across select markets in the coming weeks. Alongside this, Pinterest expanded its AI-driven Performance+ campaign suite with a new “Priority Products” tool, giving advertisers finer control over which items are promoted, plus self-serve A/B testing to gauge performance. A new app promotion option was also introduced to help developers drive installs.

AI Restyle Feature Lets Users Reimagine Their Spaces

For everyday users, Pinterest announced Restyle, an AI tool that lets Pinners visualize different design concepts for a room, compare décor styles, and explore product options before making purchasing decisions. The feature generates multiple style variations based on user input, aiming to bridge inspiration and real-world buying. Restyle will launch first in the U.S. and Canada in the coming weeks.

Pinterest also confirmed a second season of its CTV series “Bring My Pinterest to Life,” which follows stylists helping users turn their saved Pins into tangible, real-life experiences. The show’s first season aired on Roku earlier this year.

Together, these announcements reflect Pinterest’s continued push to merge AI-powered personalization with commerce, reinforcing its position as a visual discovery and shopping platform ahead of the holiday season.
