Judge dismisses Cristiano Ronaldo sexual assault case after prosecutor ‘repeatedly used stolen documents’

US District Judge Prosecutors Jennifer Dorsey of Las Vegas on Friday dismissed the rape case against the 37-year-old Portuguese soccer star over the actions of his prosecutors, Catherine Mayorga Leslie and Mark Stoval. “Stoval’s repeated use of stolen documents and the privilege to prosecute this case shows every sign of bad faith,” the judge said in the 42-page judgment obtained by news. They had a detailed review of the documents and used them to form the factual basis of Mayorga’s allegations,” Dorsey continued. “Disqualifying Stovall will not prejudicate her harassment.”
Ronaldo’s lawyer, Prosecutors Peter S. Christiansen, told news that they are “delighted by the careful consideration of this matter and the decision of the Federal Court to dismiss the case. Since the plaintiff first filed the lawsuit in 2018, we have alleged. That the lawsuit was file in bad faith,” Christiansen add in a statement. “The complete withdrawal of the plaintiff’s case should give new confidence to all pursuing. This issue in the judicial process in this country while discouraging those who seek to undermine them.
Mayorga’s attorney did not immediately respond to news request for comment.
