A $AP Rocky sent Rihanna a love letter Thursday (May 5) in the form of a new song and music video but maybe more! While Rocky referred to Rihanna as an “angel,” “goddess,” and “soul mate” in the lyrics of her song “D.M.B.,” her music video, which was released May 5, could mean she is adding a “bride” to that list. !!
The video pays homage to their life together, as RiRi constantly appears with the rapper in the good times and the bad. But at the end of the video, tycoon Fenty appears as a blushing bride. Wearing a bold dress, and carrying a bouquet of red roses. The camera then zooms in on Rocky’s teeth, which have gold bars that read, “Marry me?” Then the camera moves to Rihanna, who responds with her gold bar, “Yes. So here’s the real question – is it all for the show, or can the two expecting their first child be husband and wife now?
Rocky first announced his new single earlier this week. The cover of “Ghetto Love Tale” is titled “D.M.B.,” revealing that the song’s title means “dats mah bish.” The artwork also includes a scene where Rich and Rocky are filming something on a fire escape in the Bronx in July 2021. Suggesting that this video will be a snippet of their contemporary romance. However, Rocky later removed D.M.B.’s work and replaced it with a video montage of himself and Rihanna walking in front of the paparazzi. He’s still advertising that “Thursday” is coming, though he hasn’t specified it.
Rihanna and Rocky’s partnership dates back a decade, long before the two started a family together. The two reunited in 2012 for a remix of “Cockiness (Love It). The duo performed the song at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, with Rocky reaching for Rih to kiss her neck. Rocky then joined Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour in 2013, opening for her on the North American stage of the world tour.
