The JW Anderson bag replaces the iconic Judith Leiber goose bag she wore in Sex and the City
There’s a new bird in town.
Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City and Just Like That, knows a thing or two about fashion. When Carrie began carrying her Judith Leiber goose bag—a gift from Big (Chris Noth)—in SATC season two, she became an icon and catapulted this little gem’s stranglehold on popularity.
Now Carrie has a new bag to wear in Season 2 of Ward And Like It…: the JW Anderson Pigeon clutch bag. The $890, which Parker, 57, teased on Instagram and spotted in cast photos, looks like the most popular (and perhaps most annoying) bird in New York. Replica pigeons have side doors that open so they can act as clutches but don’t store too much stuff in this bird. Although the grip looks aesthetically pleasing, it doesn’t last long!
Filming for the second season of AJLT has only just begun, but we can already say that there are a lot of modes to watch out for. In the first moment of the photo shoot, Parker wore not only a JW Anderson clutch but also a denim jumpsuit, a pair of Dior heels, and a small Fendi bag around her ankles.
In September, Parker and co-star Sara Ramirez teased the upcoming second season of the Sex and the City spinoff with a social media post. Parker shared an enlarged script photo with only the series title and “Episode 201” written. Under the episode number, Parker wrote the third line in purple ink.
Ramirez, 47, also kept things mysterious by secretly posting photos of the scripts for Episodes 201 and 202.
So far, footage from the shoot only captures Parker and Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte. Davis posed with Parker in a black pencil skirt, see-through black button-up shirt and a pink bow around his neck. However, he did not bring his own JW Anderson pigeon.
