Sarah Jessica Parker brought it back.
New Sarah Jessica photos from the set of Just Like That Season 2 reveal that her character, Carrie Bradshaw, is back with an essential dress: her wedding dress.
The Vivienne Westwood dress that Parker, 57, wore to marry Big (Chris Knott) in the 2008 film Sex and the City – before he set her up – looks set to return for a reboot. However, there are some minor twists this time.
While Carrie initially wore a bold dress with champagne heels and a dramatic veil, new photos from November 3 show that this time Carrie will try the dress with a more modern twist. He wears gray heels, gray gloves and a gray robe. These pieces complement the bird on its head, a relic from the original story. Even though the tall one “couldn’t get out of the car” to marry her, he had no problem putting a bird on her head. Obligation!
The new photos from the set don’t reveal the close friend’s Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) wore in any of the scenes, but in the film, they both wore beautiful floor-length dresses to help with the wedding.
Charlotte wore a black mermaid dress, while Miranda wore a royal blue number.
In one scene, Parker is wearing a summer suit, which she paired with Dior gladiator sandals from the first movie, Sex and the City, and a small baguette from Fendi, which graced Kim Jones’ runway last month.
Perhaps the best part of this see is the $890 JW Anderson pigeon clutch bag, which is different from the Judith Leiber goose bag that Carrie made famous in Sex also the City.
Carrie’s style has captivate audiences since the show began in 1998, thanks to her ability to combine completely unexpected pieces in ways that look downright cool. Case in point: a combination of bare waist and belt. It is heavily based on the boys’ ensemble. And don’t forget the vintage soccer jersey with pedals and heels.
