Although you wouldn’t know it from the endless British rain, we’re – at remaining – heading into summertime. Notwithstanding the climate, Carhartt WIP’s ss21 marketing campaign is right here to get you in the mood for the long hazy days beforehand.
Set towards the backdrop of sleepy cities in France, the brand’s marketing campaign film follows three pals as they gain the lazy, endless weeks of sun. Told via mini vignettes, we see the trio embark on an avenue trip in a damaged-down car.
After preventing through the side of the road to swim, the institution performs a little wheelie on a rough patch of the road before rinsing themselves off in a car wash. In short, to get away from the stressed boredom of summertime.
In place of compliance with a linear narrative, the film pursuits to capture the feeling of boundless teenage electricity, which punctures the tranquility of the sector around it and ignites a yearning for beyond trivial moments that emerge as sizeable with time.
Shot without dialogue, the movie is based on the fondly acquainted sounds of crickets, gently-flowing waters, and timber lightly rustling in the wind to rouse a nostalgic summertime longing in its visitors.
Every pal sports activities gadgets from Carhartt WIP’s ss21 men’s and girls collections – think: brightly patterned shirts, sand-hued cargo shorts and dungarees, and staple white tees and blue denim pieces of denim.
Directed via filmmaker Joaquim Bayle and photographer Sylvain says, who first met even as operating at Carhartt WIP’s keep in Lille, the featured garments purpose to complement the blue waters and dusty roads the film subtly.
