The first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new adult film, Licorice Pizza, has been released and provides a first look at Alana Chaim in the lead role.
He starred in Cooper Hoffman (son of Philip Seymour Hoffman. A firm PTA favorite who played him in five of his films). And an impressive cast including Bradley Cooper, Tom Waits, Sean Penn, and Uncut Gems director Benny Safdi.
According to its official recap, Licorice Pizza “is the story of Trailer For Paul Thomas Anderson Alana Kane (Alana Haim) and Gary Valentin (Cooper Hoffman). Who grew up, led, and fell in love with them in the San Fernando Valley in 1973.
The film follows the complex navigation of first love.
The trailer, which stars on the soundtrack to David Bowie’s life on Mars, features Gary. A young actor torn between bullshit with his high school friends and taking his career more seriously by spending time with John Peters. Bradley Cooper the real-life film producer behind Barbra Streisand’s version of A Star Is Born.
For a PTA who grew up in the San Fernando Valley, this feels like Trailer For Paul Thomas Anderson a warm nostalgic trip and a return to the style of previous films. Think more about Boogie Nights than Phantom Thread. The director has worked with Chaim in the past and made several music videos for the band. As well as a cover of the Grammy-nominated “Women in Music Pt.” I, I, I. This sweet pizza is slated for a limited edition on November 24 before hitting US theaters this Christmas.
