Pop group Steps have announced that the remainder of their UK tour will be postponed due to a positive case of Covid-19 on their tour.
The move comes just days after it was revealed that singer Lee Latchford-Evans had tested positive for the coronavirus.
His positive test results came on the same day that bandmate Faye Tozer was allowed to return to the stage after self-isolation from Covid. With new cases emerging, Steps said continuing the tour was “impossible.”
They added that they were “disappointed” that this week’s shows at Cardiff and Bournemouth had now had to be postponed for some time next summer but noted that safety was priority number one. “We have tried in some possible way to continue our previous shows. But we must make everyone’s health and safety our top priority. They told fans in an online statement.
