TikTok has announced a new partnership with fan connection platform Cameo, bringing a fresh monetization pathway to creators on the short-form video app. The integration embeds Cameo’s video message request process directly into TikTok, allowing creators to charge fans for personalized video clips without disrupting the in-app experience.
How the Integration Works
Creators will be able to add customized call-to-action buttons to their TikTok content, making it simple for viewers to request a personalized Cameo video without ever leaving the app. TikTok will also feature a dedicated listing of creators who have signed up for Cameo, accessible when users search “Cameo” within the platform. This reduces friction on both sides — fans can discover and request videos more easily, while creators can sign up and begin earning faster.
TikTok noted that its creators are among the fastest-growing talent segments on Cameo, already using the platform to turn fan engagement into meaningful income.
A Boost for Both Platforms
The timing is notable for Cameo, which has faced a significant decline in usage in recent years. The company took steps to reverse this trend in late 2024 by opening up its CameoX onboarding process to a wider pool of creators, lowering barriers to entry and broadening its talent base.
This TikTok deal could meaningfully accelerate that recovery. With millions of active TikTok creators now having a direct route into Cameo, both platforms stand to benefit — Cameo through a larger client base, and TikTok by giving top creators another reason to stay active and engaged on the platform.
