The Volkswagen boss says his company will beat Elon Musk’s Tesla by 2025. He urged his employees to take this opportunity when Tesla was weak by running two gigafactories.

During a conference at the company’s headquarters in Germany. Dis said Tesla would lose power while trying to expand its two gigafactories one in Austin, Texas, and the other in Grünheide, Germany, the Daily Mail reported.
“Elon needed to expand two very complex plants in Austin and Grunheide simultaneously and increase production in Shanghai. It’s going to drain him,” he told workers on Tuesday, first reported by the Financial Times.
“We have to seize this opportunity and catch up quickly – by 2025, we can take the lead,” he added.
This has been eyeing Tesla for a long time – earlier this year. He said Volkswagen could sell more electric vehicles than its competitors by 2025.
During the presentation, Dies also mentioned that Tesla was losing weight. And then presented a slide with a meme showing actor Jason Momoa representing Volkswagen and crawling behind fellow actor Henry Cavill. Who was voted Tesla. Dyce and Musk are friends outside the electric vehicle race, but the German CEO consistently cited Tesla as Volkswagen’s biggest rival.
