These are the building blocks for every fall outfit
Serena Williams won her second match at the 2022 US Open last night, and several celebrities joined the electric fight. In the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium were Bella and Gigi Hadid, Tiger Woods, Spike Lee, and Zendaya.
Despite being the last day of August, Zendaya, 26, opted for an outfit that shouted ‘fall’ to cheer Williams from the Emirates Suite. The Euphoria actress wore a black turtleneck, brown silk skirt with floral lace, black leather boots, and a Cartier watch for the big event.
While we can’t make all the pit stops in a major tennis tournament like Zendaya, we can dress like her.
Dune’s slick ensemble of stars is easy to imitate this season, starting with the top: a black sweater in fall and winter compares favorably with a white t-shirt in spring and summer – also known as a must-have in every wardrobe – and the new Zendaya proves why.
Timeless pieces serve as versatile building blocks for countless cold weather outfits: wear a high-necked black sweater over a slim skirt or dress for a stylish evening, add your favorite pair of jeans for lunch, or go all out – get comfortable and wear it. Like this one on Amazon for $32, a large bag with tailored running tights. While it’s unclear where Zendaya’s black sweater came from, if the shoe’s price ($795) indicates, it probably isn’t cheap. But a classic turtleneck sweater doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
Take this bat version, for example, which has over 3,000 excellent reviews and is currently available for just $28 on Amazon. On the other hand, this $60 black sweater from Nordstrom has a fitted cut with side slits for added interest.
