Zendaya turned heads as she paid homage to music legend Cher at the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The Dune actress, 28, made a stunning red-carpet appearance in a vintage Bob Mackie ensemble, evoking the iconic style Cher has championed for decades.

A Vintage Bob Mackie Masterpiece

Zendaya’s outfit, styled by her long-time collaborator Law Roach, was pulled from Bob Mackie’s Fall 2001 Couture collection, titled Foreign Intrigue.

The dazzling ensemble featured a white satin coat with a dramatic collar and cuffs, embellished with intricate gold and diamond iridescent bugle beads.

Beneath the coat, she wore a glimmering gold bodysuit adorned with hand-beaded gold, diamond, and iridescent stones, creating a nude illusion halter gown effect.

Roach, 46, took to Instagram Stories to share the details behind the look, describing it as a couture masterpiece: “Fall 2001 Bob Mackie Couture collection… with dramatic collar and cuffs, embroidered in gold and diamond iridescent bugle beads and stones.”

Honoring Cher’s Timeless Style

By choosing this particular ensemble, Zendaya paid a fashionable tribute to Cher, who has been a muse for Bob Mackie since the late 1960s. Cher, known for her bold, dazzling stage costumes, has worn many of Mackie’s iconic designs over the years.

The Believe singer is one of the 2024 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, making Zendaya’s nod to Cher’s legacy all the more fitting.

Zendaya’s striking red carpet appearance not only honored Cher’s enduring influence but also showcased her own ability to channel vintage fashion into contemporary moments with elegance and flair.
