LinkedIn Expands AI Hiring Assistant Globally
inkedIn is rolling out its AI-powered Hiring Assistant to businesses worldwide, marking a significant expansion of the recruitment tool that promises to transform how companies find and hire talent. The platform announced that the AI assistant will be globally available in English by the end of September 2025.
Streamlined Recruitment Process
Originally launched with select brand partners in October 2024, LinkedIn’s Hiring Assistant automatically generates shortlists of qualified candidates from LinkedIn’s vast professional database. The AI tool goes beyond candidate matching by scheduling interviews, taking notes, and managing follow-up communications, creating a comprehensive hiring solution powered by artificial intelligence.
LinkedIn has refined the system based on initial user feedback, re-engineering its agent orchestration and tool-calling systems to provide more natural, conversational interactions. Recruiters can now describe their needs in plain language while working alongside the AI to identify suitable candidates.
Impressive Early Results
The platform reports compelling performance metrics since the tool’s initial launch. Recruiters using the AI assistant are saving over four hours per role while reviewing 62% fewer profiles before creating confident shortlists. Additionally, the system has achieved a 69% improvement in InMail acceptance rates, suggesting better candidate targeting.
Looking ahead, LinkedIn plans to integrate the Hiring Assistant with applicant tracking systems (ATS), enabling recruiters to evaluate all applicants regardless of whether they applied through LinkedIn. This expansion will include bidirectional synchronization of candidate evaluations and stage updates between LinkedIn and existing recruitment platforms.
The global rollout represents LinkedIn’s commitment to leveraging AI technology to address recruitment challenges, potentially reshaping how businesses approach talent acquisition in an increasingly competitive job market.
