Bryce Dallas Howard Talks About The Pressure Of Losing Weight While Filming Jurassic World
In a recent interview with Metro, the 41-year-old actress disclosed that her previous films asked her to lose weight for her role like Claire Dearing in the Jurassic universe. But when talk of his body “resurfaced” during the filming of Jurassic World Domination. Director Colin Trevorrow stepped in to stop the claims.
“How can I say that … [I] was asked not to use my natural body in the film,” Howard admit to the outlet.
“And, in the third film, because there were so many women in the cast. Colin was thinking hard to defend me…because the conversation came up again, ‘We have to get Bryce to answer.'”
“[Colin] said, ‘There are many different types of women on this planet, and there are many different types of women in our films,'” he continued. “I had to do many stunts that were impossible on a diet.” Howard added, “I’m excited [about] all the actions I have to do and be able to do it with my body, that is.” at his maximum strength, and I hope that’s another indication of what’s possible.”
Howard join in an interview with his co-star Dewanda Wise, 38, who note her character Kayla Watts was also talk about on set.
“There’s always something,” said Wise. “There’s a lot of opposition to Kayla having muscles, what it means to be a woman, looking like a woman. It just happens in every country, cruel and impossible. This isn’t the first time Howard has opened up about his experiences as a woman on the set of Jurassic Park.
The actress also reveal previous this year that she was paid “much less” than her co-star Chris Pratt throughout the trilogy. At the time, he noted that Pratt later sided with him. And insiste the two were paid the same for anything not directly include in the contract they had negotiate.
