Chris Paul will go down in NBA playoff history when the Phoenix Suns beat the New Orleans Pelicans

Chris Paul fired 14 of 14 perfect shots from the field to help the Phoenix Suns end their first-round playoff record of 115-109 in Game 6 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Chris Paul Nicknamed “Point God,” it was the first time in playoff history that a player had made 13 or more shots without a single mistake.

Paul completed all four free throws to finish with 33 points while scoring eight assists and five rebounds.

However, the 12-time All-Star was fortuitous not to receive a severe foul for a harrowing elbow to the chin of New Orleans patrol Jose Alvarado in the fourth quarter. The referee ignored the incident, and despite Alvarado’s protests, the Pelicans could not call for an investigation after resorting to their coach’s challenge.

Paul spent the 1st six years of his illustrious career in New Orleans after finishing fourth in the franchise then at the Hornets in 2005 and serving his fifth season with current Pelicans head coach Willie Green.

“I get emotional every game here [in New Orleans],” he told the NBA on TNT. “Willie is my brother, someone I talk to about everything; we don’t talk about this whole series, seeing his son seating on the baseline.
