Ashton Kutcher describes his physical transformation while training for the 2022 New York City Marathon.
The 44-year-old actor recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight. And revealed that he had lost 12 pounds. As they prepare for the competition scheduled for November 6.
“The biggest physical change is transferring muscle mass from the upper to the lower body. I lost about 12 pounds,” he told the outlet, adding that “my wife [Mila Kunis] is very supportive.”
Kutcher says his involvement in the process taught him. That “surrounding yourself with a support system makes difficult things a lot easier. Setting a pace you can maintain is not the same as working as hard as you can. The That ’70s Show actor explained that his family Kunis, 38. And their two children, son Dimitri Portwood, 5, and daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 7 were motivated to cross the finish line this fall.
My number one “why” boils down to leaving life better than what was given me. My daily motivators are my kids and my family,” he told ET.
Kutcher is also participating in the upcoming marathon to raise money and awareness for Thorn. Who works to develop technology to protect children from sexual abuse and to remove child sexual abuse material from the internet.
“The marathon itself is a great opportunity for the work we’ve been doing with Thorn for over a decade,” he said. “An opportunity to show the people who have worked so hard to make our vision a reality that I am ready and ready to go further.”
“Every step we take is about creating measurable outcomes. That help children live lives where they can be kids,” added Kutcher.
