Greta Van Fleet Postpones Concert After Josh Kishka Bursts Eardrums During Performance
The Rockers postponed three scheduled shows this week to allow frontman Josh Kiska to recover.
Greta Van Fleet has been force to postpone three upcoming concerts after vocalist Josh Kiszka injured his eardrum during a recent performance.
Rockers Heat Above postpon shows this week in Raleigh, North Carolina, Greenville, South Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida, after Kiska, 26, was injure during a concert in Maine on October 8.
“It is with a high heart that we have to postpone our concert next week,” the singer wrote in a letter to fans shared on Instagram. “During our last show at Bangor, my eardrum ruptured, and after further investigation, I have just been told that it will take more time to recover than originally thought. I am working closely with my team to ensure I get proper rest for this. End the year strong.” The star said he and bandmates Jake Kiska, Sam Kiska and Danny Wagner were working on rescheduling the show that would be Part of the Dreams was On the Gold Tour, and he was “feeling hopeless about having to do this”.

“Thank you for being here for us with all your troubles, and I hope to see all your beautiful faces soon.” According to Mount Sinai, a ruptured eardrum can be caused by a deafening sound near the ear. Although it will heal on its own in a few months, a ruptured eardrum can cause long-term hearing loss, dizziness, or infection.
Tour dates will resume on October 25 in Hollywood, Florida, with dates planned for December 16.
Departing from the ’60s and ’70s rock, the Grammy Award-winning band will release their second studio album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, in April 2021.
