Meta Tests New Subscription Package with Exclusive Features
Meta has officially confirmed it is live testing a new paid subscription tier for Instagram, called “Instagram Plus.” The subscription gives users access to exclusive features and marks a shift in Meta’s strategy two months after the company announced plans to test new subscriptions across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. TechCrunch
What Does Instagram Plus Offer?
The subscription comes with a number of Story-focused features not otherwise available to standard Instagram users. These include the ability to create multiple audience lists for Stories, see who has rewatched your Story, search through your Story’s viewer list, preview Stories before posting, extend Stories beyond 24 hours, and create Spotlight Stories. Where Is It Available and How Much Does It Cost?
Meta has launched a live test of Instagram Plus in certain regions, with selected users in Mexico, Japan, and the Philippines sharing posts on social media confirming their access. Social Media Today Early pricing appears affordable, with the Philippines subscription sitting at around $1.07 USD per month and Mexico at approximately $2.15 USD per month.
