Steph Curry responds to Golden State Warriors playing without fans amid coronavirus scare

The Golden State Warriors became the first NBA team to announce it would play in an empty arena to prevent the apply of the coronavirus. So naturally, we got a reaction from the team’s superstar, Steph Curry.

On March 11, the San Francisco Health Service issued a ban on gatherings of 1,000 or more people to stop the spread of the coronavirus. So when the NBA Golden State Warriors moved from their old home to Oracle Arena Auckland at the Chase Center in San Francisco this season, their game was banned. The team has coordinated to play without fans in the stands from Thursday. Match on March 12 against the Brooklyn Nets. Dubs superstar Steph Curry, 31, said it would be “weird” at first to play in an empty arena without the precious “energy” the fans provide.

At a press conference following the announcement, Steph said. I understand the perspective and decision about trying to do part to stop the spread and, most importantly, keep people safe. We will face the consequences of what that means going forward.”

Steph spent four months out with an arm injury and only returned to action on March 5, only two days later, to recover from the flu.

Explaining how this will impact the team the most, Steph said. Perhaps everyone in our routine at the start of the first three minutes of the game relies on that kind of energy from game day. When we moved into the area, we saw fans strolling outside the Chase in their Warriors outfits.

He continued: “Once the game starts and you see the other teams in there. It will be weird, but I think we’re going to get in pretty easily. But it’s only at the beginning that many of the big boys will see how different the situation is and the atmosphere. I try to play a real NBA game that counts, without the fan seats.”
