On Thursday, the 28-year-old X Factor graduate shared her Instagram story of how she dealt with the death of her fiancé Dani, who died suddenly on their wedding anniversary.
“Almost three weeks after what will always be the worst day of my life. Still, in shock and speechless – my beautiful Danny is an unspeakable loss. Mann wrote on a cute photo of himself kissing Hampson on the cheek.
“There is nothing to be said or done,” Mann continued, “but I have to acknowledge the incredible love, kindness, and support [our son] Bowie has received, the Dan family, my family, and I. It has overwhelmed us.”
“In these darkest times, it’s so hard to feel anything but sadness, much less gratitude.
But we got glimpses of the union of love that came from near and far for our Danny,” she said of the grief process.
“He’s the best of the best, and that’s a testament to him. Thank you,” she ended the tearful message with a white heart emoji. Hampson death in the early hours of June 18, according to Mann’s heartbreaking Instagram post, just as he announced the death of his fiancé for the first time.
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but dear Danny – my best friend. My life and soul, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of June 18. Wrote Hampson’s Man in Black and White Photo with son Bowie. “What should have been the happiest day of our lives ended in irreparable heartbreak. I felt like I had cried in the ocean.”
