YouTube Rolls Out Voice Replies and AI Tools for Creators
YouTube has unveiled its final feature update of 2025, introducing a suite of tools designed to help creators boost engagement and streamline content creation. The platform is expanding voice replies to millions of creators, allowing them to respond to comments with audio clips for more personal interactions. Additionally, YouTube is rolling out its “Create” app to iOS, providing creators with enhanced video editing capabilities previously available only on Android.
Expanding Creator Reach with Advanced Tools
The platform is also bringing new opportunities for live-streamers by extending Superchat goals to vertical live-streams, enabling creators to incentivize viewer donations with rewards at specific thresholds. Channel Guidelines, designed to help creators set community standards in comments and live chats, are now available to all creators with intermediate and advanced features. These tools collectively empower creators to maintain healthier communities while driving engagement.
AI Innovation Enhances Content Creation
Google’s latest “Nano Banana” generative AI model is now available on YouTube posts, allowing creators to edit images, change backgrounds, try new outfits, and remove distracting elements with simple prompts. The feature is available to users over 18 in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, and India. YouTube is also testing AI-powered short-form clip suggestions from long-form videos, initially limited to podcast playlists in the U.S. and Canada, helping creators maximize their Shorts strategy.
Finally, YouTube is introducing comment summaries to provide quick overviews of key discussion points on clips, and experimenting with Shorts dislike button changes to reduce user confusion between “Dislike” and “Not Interested” options.
