In a long video, Britney Spears reflects on conservatism
Britney Spears has opened up about the origins of the conservatory and her time at an institution in a 22-minute video that has since been deleted.
Britney Spears offers a fresh look at the painful realities of life during the conservatory’s 13 years in a lengthy video shared on social media on Sunday.
The “Hold Me Closer” hitmaker, 40, posted a 22-minute video on YouTube and Twitter. That publicly reflected the “trauma” of being force to work. And spend time in a mental hospital under his father’s supervision as blaming his mother. And sisters for allowing the control aspect of the conservatory, which ends in November.
“I’m scared, I’m devastated [and] I’m sharing this because I want people to know that I’m only human,” Spears said in the video, which was posted via a hidden link and later deleted.
“I feel like a victim after this experience, and how can I fix it if I don’t talk about it?”
While the clip provided support to Spears on social media from fans. It also sparked a backlash from her mother, Lynne Spears, who shared a message with her daughter on Instagram Sunday night. Along with a black and white photo of the couple.
“Britney, I have tried to support your dreams and desires all your life!” Lynn wrote. “Besides, I tried my best to save you! I never have and will never turn my back on you! Your refusal of the many times I have flown and called makes me desperate! I have tried everything. I love you so much, but this conversation is just for you and me, face to face, alone.” Spears says in the clip. That Lynn and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears ignored the star’s request to be removed from the treatment center. Which disappointed them given the Free Britney campaign had just started to drive them away.
