Olivia Rodrigo’s hilarious mix-up: accidentally asks siblings to kiss

Olivia Rodrigo accidentally slipped into a hilariously awkward situation at a recent Guts World Tour concert.

During her first tour stop in Sydney on October 17, 2024, Olivia Rodrigo unintentionally created a hilarious moment that quickly went viral.

While interacting with fans at the Sydney SuperDome, the 21-year-old pop star mistook two siblings for a couple and asked them to kiss on the jumbotron, dubbed the “Guts cam.”

“You guys are so cute,” Rodrigo gushed to the pair. “I have a really huge fun thing to ask: Would you guys give us a kiss on the Guts cam?”

However, things took a funny turn when the young man she had singled out immediately shook his head and mouthed, “She’s my sister.”

The girl beside him blushed, and the crowd erupted in laughter. Shocked by the revelation, Rodrigo quickly tried to recover. “She’s your sister! Sh—!” she exclaimed, backing away. “Never mind, never mind, scrap that!”

Laughing off the awkwardness, the “Vampire” singer added, “Oh, f—, wow. That hasn’t happened before.”

The Viral Moment

The fan later posted a video of the moment on social media, captioning it, “Olivia Rodrigo asking my sister and I to kiss was not on my 2024 bingo card.” In response, Rodrigo apologized in the comments, writing, “I AM SO SORRY.”

Tour Highlights and Future Plans

Rodrigo, a three-time Grammy winner, has been touring since February 2024. After wrapping up her four-night stint in Sydney on October 22, she’ll take a break for the rest of the year.

Her tour will resume in March 2025 with shows in Latin America, followed by two rescheduled performances in Manchester on June 30 and July 1.
