TikTok Launches Bulletin Boards for Creator Communication
TikTok has officially rolled out its Bulletin Boards feature, a new one-to-many messaging tool designed to help creators communicate directly with their audiences. After months of testing, the platform is now making this feature available to eligible creators, offering another avenue for audience engagement beyond traditional in-feed content.
Exclusive Access for High-Follower Creators
The Bulletin Boards feature is currently available only to creators aged 18 and over who have accumulated more than 50,000 followers. This requirement limits initial access but ensures the feature reaches established content creators with substantial audiences. Eligible users can create a Bulletin Board directly from their Inbox options, allowing them to customize board names and descriptions while choosing whether to display it publicly on their profile.
How Bulletin Boards Work for Engagement
Bulletin Boards function similarly to Instagram’s Broadcast Channels, allowing creators to share text, image, and video updates in concise messages. Followers can join a creator’s Bulletin Board by clicking the board link on their profile and will receive notifications whenever new content is posted. The feature enables two-way interaction through emoji reactions, creating a streamlined communication channel between creators and their most engaged fans. This aligns with TikTok’s broader strategy of leveraging direct messaging for deeper connection and audience retention, positioning Bulletin Boards as a valuable tool for keeping followers informed about key events and updates in real time.
