Rami Malek Having Fun With “Inactive Villain Face” When SNL Plays Squid.
The No Time to Die actor teams up with James Bond teammate Daniel Craig and musical guest Young Thug for his Saturday Night Live debut Straight from New York… this is Rami Malek! The No Time to Die star made his hosting debut Saturday night with a monologue dedicated to “the face of an inactive villain” on Saturday.
Malek, 40, is identified with several well-known film villains during the scene, including Scar, Hannibal Lecter. Shark of the Jaws, Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, Darth Vader, Freddie Krueger, Cruella de Ville, Maleficent, and of course Bambi.
Actor Mr. Robot also used his introduction to SNL to give fans a glimpse into his personal life as the son of an Egyptian immigrant who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Malek credits his twin brother’s career as a teacher. And his sister’s vital work as an emergency doctor but he’s still an Oscar winner.
Later in the episode, Malek and Pete Davidson got lucky in a sketch for a classic music video.
However, things turned around when it was revealed that they were making their version of Netflix’s big hit Game Squid. Davidson is ranked 456 in the country-inspired music video. Which bears a striking resemblance to the costumes and set designs from the South Korean survival drama. In addition to the musical guest Young Thug. There were other critical night moments from the surprising cameos of Malek’s James Bond comedy Daniel Craig.
Twice SNL presenter Craig appeared not for one but two separate plays; one against Cecily Strong and another in honor of Prince with Malek and Kenan Thompson. Former SNL candidate Jason Sudeikis will be taking over the household with musical guest Brandi Carlisle this coming weekend.
