Justin Bieber Surprises Fans with “Swag II” Album Drop, Featuring Tems and Hurricane Chris

Pop sensation Justin Bieber has delivered another surprise to his fanbase with the release of “Swag II,” dropping the 23-track album less than 24 hours after its initial announcement. The sequel to his July surprise hit “Swag” features collaborations with Nigerian superstar Tems, British artist Bakar, rapper Hurricane Chris, Lil B, and Eddie Benjamin.

Technical Delays Create Midnight Drama

The album experienced delays past its promised midnight release time, appearing first on YouTube Music before hitting other streaming platforms. Bieber took to Instagram to address frustrated fans, posting “I’m sorry for the wait their telling me any second” and “Me waiting with u, not baiting u not sure wut the fuckkyyy is going on clicking refreshhhhhh,” showing his genuine concern for his audience.

The release was teased through grassroots marketing campaigns, with billboards appearing in London and banners in West Hollywood, mirroring the promotional strategy used for the original “Swag” album. Bieber’s recent studio posts on social media had hinted at new music in development.

Expanding the “Swag” Universe

“Swag II” serves as an addendum to the original 21-track “Swag” album, bringing the total song count to 44 tracks across both releases. Industry reports had previously suggested that “Swag” was a precursor to a more pop-oriented second album planned for later this year.

The original “Swag” achieved significant commercial success, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and marking Bieber’s biggest streaming week to date. Hit singles “Daisies” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Yukon” peaked at No. 8, demonstrating the continued commercial appeal of Bieber’s evolving musical direction.
