Meta Expands Edits With Analytics, AI Restyle Tools

Meta has rolled out a substantial update to Edits, its standalone video editing application, introducing powerful analytics tools and AI-powered features designed to help creators optimize their content strategy. The June 2026 update marks a significant expansion of the platform’s capabilities, transforming it into a more comprehensive creative and analytics solution.

New Analytics Features Drive Creator Insights

The update introduces audience insights that reveal when followers are most active, enabling creators to time their posts strategically. Users can now export analytics data directly to PDF, making it easier to share performance metrics with brands and partners. A comparative analysis feature allows creators to evaluate up to three Reels clips side-by-side within the app, providing valuable insights into what content resonates most with their audience.

Advanced Visual Controls and AI Capabilities

On the visual front, Edits now offers enhanced opacity controls for stickers and text, giving creators more precise design flexibility. The platform has introduced new sound effects options and a custom font inspired by musician Olivia Rodrigo. Most significantly, AI-powered restyle tools enable creators to modify video elements using simple text prompts, though Meta notes these features aren’t available in all regions and include regeneration limits.

The iOS app has also expanded its export capabilities, now supporting clips up to 15 minutes long—an increase from the previous 10-minute limit. These improvements collectively strengthen Edits’ position as a serious competitor in the video editing space, offering both creative tools and data-driven insights that empower creators to make informed content decisions. The updates reflect Meta’s commitment to enhancing creator tools across its platform ecosystem.
