Reddit Surges With 68% Revenue Growth in Q3 2025

Reddit has posted impressive Q3 2025 results, announcing a 68% year-over-year revenue increase to $585 million. The platform added 5.6 million daily active users, bringing its total to 116 million DAU, while expanding its presence across global markets and cementing its position as a trusted information source.

AI Chatbots Drive Platform Adoption

The social media giant’s explosive growth stems partly from its increasing value to AI systems seeking authentic human perspectives. Reddit has become the #2 most visited site in the U.S. (according to Semrush data), benefiting from elevated visibility in Google Search results and widespread citations by AI chatbots. The platform’s user-voted system naturally elevates helpful responses, making it an ideal source for machine learning models seeking genuine, curated content.

Weekly active users surged to 444 million, up from 400 million in May, with both daily and weekly usage increasing nearly 20% year-over-year. Reddit attributes this growth to its expanding machine translation capabilities and localized content strategies.

Advertising Dominance and Future Challenges

Advertising remains Reddit’s primary revenue driver, accounting for 94% of total intake. Advertisers increasingly view the platform as valuable for AI discovery opportunities, hoping their products gain recommendation visibility within AI search results. However, Reddit faces a delicate balance—its authenticity and lack of sponsored content make it valuable, yet advertiser pressure could threaten this integrity.

Reddit is investing in AI-powered search improvements and UI refinements to maintain user engagement. Moving forward, the platform’s sustainability will depend on preserving data authenticity while managing advertiser expectations and maintaining its reliance on Google referral traffic.
