Threads Rolls Out New Podcast Promotion Tools for Creators

Threads has rolled out a fresh batch of podcast features as it works to become a leading home for conversations about audio shows. Announced on Wednesday, the update gives creators more ways to promote episodes and gives listeners more ways to discover and discuss them.

Banners, Episode Cards and Transcripts

Podcasters can now display their logo and show details through profile and post banners, which sit alongside existing profile cards. A new episode picker lets creators spotlight individual episodes, with podcast links appearing as tappable cards inside the app. Threads will also support transcripts, video and guest cards to better showcase specific episodes. Transcripts were first spotted in testing last month.

Reminders and saved episodes are also part of the package. Creators and their guests can opt in to automatic notifications that prompt them to share new episodes, while users can save favorite episodes within Threads to revisit later.

Insights for Podcast Creators

Threads is also adding Podcast Insights, a performance tool designed to help creators understand how their content lands on the platform. It will show data on engagement, clicks and saves, giving podcasters clearer signals about reach and audience response.

The update builds on earlier moves. In November last year, Threads introduced podcast details on creator profiles and custom podcast thumbnails. The company says people are already connecting around podcasts on the platform, and the new tools are meant to make joining those conversations easier.

The timing matches growing listener demand. According to Edison Research, 58% of Americans listen to podcasts in 2026. By letting discussions grow from shared clips and episodes, Threads may encourage stronger community engagement while giving podcasters another channel to build their audiences.
