Jared Kushner Secretly Fights Thyroid Cancer in the White House
“I remember it was in the hands of God and the doctors,” Jared Kushner wrote of his thyroid cancer diagnosis in his forthcoming book, Breaking History: A White House Memoir.
Jared Kushner opened up about his past health problems.
The former senior White House adviser, 41, reveals in his new book Breaking History: A White House Memoir, according to the New York Times, that he was diagnosed and treated for thyroid cancer while working for his father-in-law, former President Donald Trump.
“The morning I was traveling to Texas for the Louis Vuitton factory opening. White House Doctor Sean Conley pulled me into the Air Force One medical booth,” Kushner wrote. “Your test results came back from Walter Reed,” he said. “It looks like you have cancer. We need to schedule an operation soon.”

He wrote that he turned his attention to work to “not think about the upcoming surgery or unwanted growths on my body.”
“When I think about it, I remind myself that everything is in the hands of God and the doctors and that everything that happens is beyond my control,” Kushner added. “Sometimes, I wonder if I need long-term treatment.”
