On Tuesday, the family of the “You’re the Voice” singer announce that after receiving a diagnosis. He was taken to hospital and scheduled for surgery, according to Monique Hore of ABC News, The Guardian, and The Sydney Morning Herald.

“A cancer diagnosis is something so many people face every day. And many others have traveled this journey before me,” Farnham said in a statement.

He added: “The only thing I know for sure is that we have the best specialist healthcare professionals in Victoria, and for that, we can all be grateful. I know I am.” Finally, his family ask for privacy, and they did not specify what type of cancer Farnham, 73, had been diagnose.

A Farnham representative did not immediately respond to a news request for comment.

News of her condition comes more than two years after she opened up about another health scare. He told The Daily Telegraph in 2019 that he abruptly ended his Australian tour. After a “serious” kidney infection left him in hospital. The disease came after he had surgery. Leaving him dehydrated and “very bad.” He did not explain why he had the surgery at the time.
