Beyoncé kicks off the Cowboy Carter Tour in dazzling western glam

Beyoncé rocked the Western look for the tour’s opening night in Los Angeles.

Beyoncé launched her highly anticipated Cowboy Carter Tour on Monday, April 28, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, marking a bold and stylish return to the stage. The nearly three-hour show opened with “Ameriican Requiem,” the first track from her 2024 Grammy-winning country album Cowboy Carter.

Western Couture Takes Center Stage

Styled by Shiona Turini, Beyoncé stunned in a custom white leather Mugler ensemble, complete with a corseted bodysuit, buckled chaps, and 1,740 laser-cut fringes. Her look was topped off with a classic cowboy hat and her signature icy blonde curls.

A Family Affair on Stage

The performance was also a heartfelt family moment. All three of Beyoncé’s childrenBlue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir—featured during the show.

  • Sir Carter, 7, made a rare appearance via home video footage.
  • Rumi, also 7, joined Beyoncé and big sister Blue Ivy, 13, onstage in a glittery gold feather dress and cowboy boots. The young starlet previously made her musical debut on Cowboy Carter‘s track “Protector.”
  • Blue Ivy, no stranger to the spotlight after her backup dancer role on the Renaissance Tour, returned in a sparkly gray outfit that echoed her mom’s Western look. She danced confidently alongside Beyoncé and Rumi throughout the performance.

A High-Energy Set with Over 35 Songs

The setlist spanned over 35 songs, blending country flair with Beyoncé’s trademark stage presence. The launch signals a powerful new era for the superstar, who shares her children with husband Jay-Z.
